![]() If no deal was to be had that day, they’d reorganize the office and change its reporting structure. The “Barbarians” at RJR Nabisco weren’t concerned with anybody or anything but the almighty dollar, and they were addicted to stirring things up. ![]() Someone sprinkled too much masculine energy on their Wheaties, and when masculine energy is out of whack it wants action solely for the sake of action. Johnson failed miserably because he and his cohorts were way out of balance. One of the biggest leveraged buyout attempts in history, the story became a book and later a movie called Barbarians at the Gate. When he took a run at RJR Nabisco in the late 1980’s, CEO Ross Johnson lost his hand in the high stakes game. Without this balance, though, your hand will never experience the riches available to it. When the feminine energy of intuition flows into the masculine energy of action, great things can happen. ![]() It has the intuition to instruct the masculine energy when to make its move. It goes for it! Feminine energy, however, monitors the flicker in the eye, the sweat on the brow, and the veins in the neck. Masculine energy knows the rules of the game it has a strategy and isn’t afraid to take a risk. We can all be winners if we play the hand we were dealt, and to do that we must access the masculine and feminine energy present in each of us. But if we throw away a card and draw another, we just end up with a different set of problems. Did you know that for each deck of 52 cards, there are more than 2.5 million possible poker hands? As the famous card player Wyatt Earp once said, “Every hand has its problems, but every hand can be a winner.” It is human nature to look at the hand we were dealt, see its shortcomings, and wish it were different.

I’m happy to see that SugarSync supports SMS-based multifactor authentication (aka two-factor authentication, or 2FA). Most syncing apps make it easier to find the app download link. You have to hunt for the installer elsewhere on the SugarSync site. One minor annoyance is that when you log into your account on the website on a second computer, there’s no download link in your account pages to install the software on the second system. It’s a good option for those who want to replicate the folder structures on multiple machines. OneDrive does let you do something similar with the main user folders-Documents, Pictures, and so on-but SugarSync expands the capability to any location on your drive. This can complicate things, which is why OneDrive and Google Drive don’t offer the option. It lets you map a folder on one system to one on another. When you install the client application on a second computer, you see an indication of which computer any file is from, and when you want to sync a folder, you get a choice of creating a new folder or merging it with one on the second computer. Once you finish selecting folders, SugarSync takes you to the app’s main section. The documentation also notes that you should not use the service for full disk backup. pst), Quicken, iTunes, or the Apple Photos folder on macOS. SugarSync’s documentation says you shouldn’t include live data files such as those used by Outlook email (.eml/.emlx or. When you select a folder, SugarSync calculates how much space the files included will take up. Next, you see a folder tree of your file system and select which folders you want synced to the cloud. Once you launch the app, you sign into the same account you just created on the website, and create a name for the current device. IDrive and SpiderOAK offer this level of security. You can’t create an account with a private encryption key-that is, one that only you know and that the service provider can’t access. The setup doesn’t have requirements for password security, such as a minimum length or the use of special characters. After you sign up for an account with your email, password, and payment info, you start by downloading one of the SugarSync desktop apps. ![]() That trial requires you to enter payment info, however, so you need to remember to cancel your subscription before it renews. SugarSync doesn’t offer a permanent free storage account option, as iCloud Drive, Dropbox, Google Drive, IDrive, and OneDrive do, but you can try out the service with a free 30-day trial. IDrive, an online backup service that also includes syncing features, charges $79.50 per year for 2TB with unlimited devices. Microsoft charges $6.95 for 1TB, and that plan includes all the downloadable Office applications. The business plan includes a full terabyte for $55 per month-but that’s more than 10 times the competitors’ rate of $10 for 2TB. ![]() To get to half a terabyte, you pay $18.95 per month. You could drop down to SugarSync’s $7.49-per-month plan, but that only gets you 100GB. For $9.99, you get 250GB of storage-that’s eight times the rate you pay for the equivalent tiers on Apple’s iCloud, Box, and Google Drive. ![]() SugarSync’s pricing is well above the going rate for cloud storage and syncing services. Best Malware Removal and Protection Software. ![]() ![]() Mug with Apples (2B pencil, cartridge paper, ) Well, it is there, and I intend to start listening to it soon. What about you? Can you see yourself in your paintings?Īs for the small voice in the back of my head. I think this reflects the disorganised and often haphazard elements of my way of life. ![]() There are parts of my pictures which are cursory and others where the rendering is quite rough. On the other hand, I have no interest in photographic realism, where all of the details are included painstakingly and where accuracy is paramount. My paintings are carefully composed, not rushed and often dependent on small details for their final impact. Looking at my work, I think those aspects are generally to be seen there. I'm not an especially impulsive person and certainly not given to flamboyancy. My own personality is quiet, introspective and considerative. The examples of Van Gogh and Vermeer are good ones, I think, and it can be instructive to consider where one might lie on the line between the two. It is essential if you are to make what you see your own. Listen to that small voice in the back of your head which may indicate a yearning for a direction you have not yet dared to explore. Whatever qualities you have, make them work for you. On the other hand, we are able to form a strong idea that Vermeer was by disposition intelligent, well-organised, slow, meticulous and sensitive. Not for him miniature portraits on enamel. ![]() His work clearly reflects these aspects of his personality. Van Gogh, for example, was scruffy, bold, impulsive, committed and emotionally unstable. It is a useful exercise to try looking beyond the surface and begin to understand the ideas and motives behind other people’s paintings, rather than simply ask yourself whether you like it or not. Without constructing one’s own individual painterly concerns based firmly on what we are like as a person, then the probability is that the act becomes one of simply copying, in an uncommitted and emotionally neutral manner. Not that I think my inactivity is due to this per se, but in looking at other painters' work, I do think there's a tendency to "want to paint like that." The rest of this part of Maderson's article is relevant in this respect, and I try to hold onto it: Lengthy periods of inactivity are invariably a symptom of this problem. The problem often starts by attempting to graft aspects of another painter’s work on to our own, a painter whose character and attitudes may be entirely at odds with ours. I'm reminded of something Arthur Maderson said in an article in The Artist of March 1990: Inevitably, I suppose I absorb some influences but they're by no means particularly obvious, and it takes some time to shake off the feeling that something has just. At the end of it I find I've gone through various changes in my way of working, all in my head, yet by the time I resume my normal routine, I'm working pretty much as before. I spend a lot of time looking at books of paintings, magazines pages I've torn out and filed away, exhibition catalogues. In these periods between surges of creativity, when I'm only tinkering round the edges of my practice without pursuing a strong thread, I often feel like I'm a bit adrift. ![]() These sad little monkeys don't have a chance. They don't bother being careful, they just run through the door one at a time to their deaths. Unfortunately, most of your gunfight problems can be solved by holing up in a corner by a doorway and waiting for all of the idiots to walk into your line of sight. As I said before, the AI is an incredibly good shot, but this doesn't mean that they're the smartest blokes in the world. They'll run around until one of them finds you and then it's on. This means all enemies in the vicinity, including those in the guard houses that you would like to stay in the guard houses, will come pouring to the commotion looking for some action. I tried not to use these weapons because of the noise, but occasionally, there is no help for it and to get out of a jam, you're going to have to make with the bang stick. So if all else fails, an alarm goes off, someone finds a body, you go into a berserker rage, it's time to break out the big guns, which you can find in the hands of most enemies, or even your own at the beginning of a level. How hard would it have been? Thief was release five years ago, it should have been in there. Leaving bodies where enemies can find them is bad business for covert ops it seems to me. Crap, even the non-sneaky Red Faction has it. The one thing that I really am sad wasn't put into the game was a move body function. ![]() Otherwise, you had better clean them out fast because the sound will clue the rest of the baddies to your location and the amazingly accurate fire will soon be giving you an unwanted makeover. The poor bastards never have a chance if you have a silencer on your snipe. Watching a group of enemies on patrol suddenly stop drop to a knee and raise their weapons as one of their comrades' falls to the ground is fun. Sniping enemies is also a fun and frolicky way to get things done. Then you have the silenced guns that can be used for quick takedowns, but if guards are nearby, there's a chance they'll hear the commotion and come running. Next comes the knife which takes less time and also is nearly silent. A quick yank and snap goes the neck with barely a grunt. The quietest and cleanest way to do away with an enemy is to sneak up behind an enemy and use the action button. Once you make your target, killing them off needs to be as silent as possible. Simply hit Q and move the mouse around and you've got your view of the surroundings. In order to combat this, there is an extra peak function that allows you to peek around and over obstacles like walls and boxes while remaining hidden. Enemies will temporarily blink out of view when walking under tree canopies or awnings, so be careful what you do. The one thing you have to be careful about when using this system is that it is a satellite meaning you can not see inside of buildings or under cover. ![]() Watching patrol patterns, picking out the weak points and choosing where you need to either make a move towards a kill or move past guards is pretty fun. You can zoom in up close to each enemy and camera to get a picture of what direction they're looking to plan your advancement through a level. Not only will it show you building, terrain, and cover positions, but also any cameras and enemies. With this satellite positioning map, you can zoom in, out, down, up, over, and around pretty much anywhere outside. The first and foremost of these is the GPS map, a welcome return from Project IGI. After that, you're dropped into place with your wits a couple of handy dandy toys to help you on your way. You'll begin missions with a quick cutscene outlining why you're in the area and what you'll be doing. This is how the game was designed to be played and it works well in most cases. So in order to get through most of the missions, you'll need to resort to stealth and planning. Enemy AI are incredible shots (marking my first AI complaint) and can hit you from a few hundred feet with an Uzi. While it's possible to complete most levels by running through shooting everything that you see, it's insanely difficult. You can mark it somewhere in between Splinter Cell and an action shooter. The mix of action and stealth in IGI is a pretty good one. Time for some good old fashioned killing for vengeance and a little bit of fun. As the game progresses, you'll realize things are quite a bit trickier than originally thought. At the beginning of IGI 2, you find yourself infiltrating a mountain base in order to recover EMP technology that could be extraordinarily bad in the wrong hands. One adept at killing quietly and completing very tricky assignments efficiently with as little mess as can be helped. Missions are completed covertly when possible, with force when necessary. From whatever angle may come, whether that be from other nations or independent terrorists. IGI is an organization created to make sure that the western world is protected. Mine is slightly different, as I will include expansions with their proper iterations. Definitely bring up some good points about the different iterations. 3/10Īnd that's my list, would love to hear your thoughts too, musou fans!!! There are a couple of nice things to say such as a lot of content and some story modes having potentially fun stages and interactions (note i said potentially) but the core gameplay is sooooo bad and it's no wonder any of the expansions never released in the west given how hard the base game deservedly flopped. Slow gameplay with horrendous level design and allied AI make this game a chore to complete. I find it worse than DW6 and DW9 and i regret to say i bought a wii 8 years ago just to play this. And in dead last, the monstrosity that nearly made me quit the franchise. 4-II added so little content and changes it's kinda embarrassing really. A lack of hypotheticals and the game feeling a little too easy prevent me from liking it much. 8/10Ĥ- SW4 (and 4-II)- it's a decent game overall, i like the amount of characters and clan perspectives we get. Overall though, it's a great base for a game and expansions to it to add more story content, characters and new weapons may have it even exceed SW1 imo. Also the forced focus on mainly Oda guys has left it hard to play much as other factions, the game often forces you to play as Nobunaga or Mitsuhide more than half the cast is even availableas an option in ths campaign stages. The storytelling is good, especially those painting like cinematics before every battle but i'm not too fond of the actual story as it butchers many aspects of Nobunaga and Mitsuhide. Koei have taken some risks and many have paid off but the story is all over the place. The core gameplay is great but the clone movesets ultimately hurt it somewhat. Enemy AI seems to have improved as well, i do have a problem with the day/night cycle as it enforces a 24 minute time limit, thus making stages shorter by necessity but this is still a unique experience and enjoyable package imo. It is a bit limited in scope with many key conflicts missing and not a single playable stage for the Oda forces but as a focused title, it's very fun. Masayuki is a great protagonist and Yukimura has been vastly improved too. ![]() Loved the storytelling and little touches to make the world feel more alive such as hub villages. SW2 also improved on it in almost every single way but i still give this a solid 9/10.ģ= Spirit of Sanada. Over time it has shown it's age though including the storytelling being vague and me having no idea the game represented anything historical. I loved the dark atmosphere, somewhat hard gameplay, dark and war-torn vibes, a banging OST, i'm all here for it. Toshiie being replaced by a generic Oda guy in many old stages when porting SW2 to XL, Empires being released before XL etc.)Ģ- SW1 (and XL)- This game was what got me into the warriors series as a whole so has a special place in my heart. ![]() 10/10, only criticism i have are the nitpickiest of nitpicks (e.g. XL also introduced my favourite character Toshiie which is another point in it's favour. The gameplay is great, graphics are great, most character stories are fun, the storytelling and cinematics are great, this game also helped me realise the series is based on history instead of a fictional mishmash. ![]() How does SW5 line up compared to past titles?ġ- Samurai Warriors 2 (and XL)- Simply the best koei has ever made, i love every aspect of this game and have put in 900+ hours. With SW5 now out for a couple of weeks, i imagine most of you have had enough time to play or get impressions from watching gameplay and hearsay from your friends/the internet. ![]() ![]() ![]() At the same time, you can add the furniture you already have in this apartment according to your wishes.
